Dear Winter,

Oh sweet winter how bitterly sweet you are. With your pure white snow that covers the small town making it a beautiful winter wonderland. The crisp wind that blows at my face reminds me that I am still alive. And your wintry smells remind us that the holidays are close. Yes, dear winter you truly are beautiful.

But...

Don't you think you've had enough? The days are getting longer with daylight, letting us know that spring wants to appear. Your random spurts of snow fall, that last no more than 30 minutes serve no more purpose. The snow that once made a beautiful winter wonderland now has turned to ice covered in mud. The roads give you an oh so claustrophobic feeling while the snow just sits there waiting to melt. Please dear winter, you've had your 15 minutes of fame, won't you let spring have a turn? The sun tries to peak through your thick gray clouds, yet you insist that it remain cold. Won't you have pity on us? Can't you see the way we bundle up makes us so uncomfortable. Please dear winter, have mercy on our frozen souls...
