Quote Of The Day

This was said by my intelligent Economics 200 professor who was answering some students question

"For example, right, the amount, right, that it takes, right, to mow a lawn, right, depends on, right, the number of. Anyways (and yes Kayla she added an "s") right..."

And that is what I listen to everyday at 10:00am Oh by the way she has a new record. The word "right" was said 103 times today.

This Is Not As Important As I Thought It Was Going To Be

Anyone want to know what a curly-tailed dog is called?!?! According to my crosswords it's a pig. Interesting fact of the day, I had no idea that a pig and a dog were considered the same thing....

Well it's a sunny but cold day and I've already woken up later than I intended and failed an Accounting test that I've been studying for days. Yep, it has been a productive day. And now I'm just waiting for my Economics class to start so I can tally up how many times she says the word "right" and "k." Then off to Biology where I'll take notes for Rachel while she eats her breakfast/lunch laugh, talk a bit to her until she tells me to stop talking because our teacher has started talking. And that's as interesting as it gets.

*Side note*
Angela and I tried to short-sheet Kayla's bed last night. It didn't work...it never does. This is our second attempt.... third times a charm is what they say....maybe we'll find out.

Really...A Spider?

Megan and Kayla are standing behind me screaming at a freaking spider on the wall. They forget they are about 10 x bigger than that spider. I wonder who should really be screaming.

I keep forgetting why I don't do homework in the room, oh yeah it's because spiders keep interrupting me. I will definitely be in the library tomorrow...

For A Sister

I just thought I'd give you all a little glimpse of how special my sister is and how much she means to me.

It was my birthday today and she took me to dinner (to an extremely nice restaurant that I'm sure wasn't cheap) with all my friends and some of hers. She made sure that my birthday was extra special and I love her for that. And so this is what I have to say

Growing up we said we loved each other but really we didn't know what love was. Fighting about the stupid things (which I mostly started but I would never admit that), picking on each other, trying to make the other cry (at least I know I tried. She was tough and didn't cry much so that was a difficult situation to accomplish. But when I did make her cry I felt bad because she never cried. With me all she had to do was laugh at me and I'd run to my room bawling my eyes out. So it wasn't really a challenge for her). I'm sure we hated each other.

My best friend Rachel would always try and make me see how special having a sister was because she grew up with 2 brothers. When my sister was being a "selfish brat" was how I put it, Rachel was always there to show me that I too was being selfish in my own stubborn way. Of course that never went over well with me, but I learned. And now I see how special having a sister really is. She's the one I can go to, to talk about everything and anything. And I can thank Rachel for showing me how special a sister really is.

My sister is the one who will laugh with me and at me, and she'll comfort me when I can't find comfort in myself. She's grown to become my best friend and I can't help but thank God that our relationship has improved. I love her more than words can ever express, she means the world to me. I just wish I could have been a better sister when we were younger.

My two best friends are my sisters, what more could I ever ask for?

It's Been A Crappy Week...

And it's only just begun...

On the lighter note, my economics professor said the word "right" 85 times today and the word "k" 62 times all in a 50 minute time period. That's impressive.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

A Lonely Dance Party

We rearranged our room again...and when I say we I mean Angela and Kayla. They wouldn't let me help. I felt useless so I ended up having a dance party all by myself. Just so you know, dance parties aren't very much fun when you are the only one dancing and people are moving desks and beds around you... That's my story.

Let's See If I Can Make This Title Longer Than The Actual Blog. Well Looks Like I Did It!

I amaze myself.

Another lonely night all by myself....all finished with homework...now what?
